Arbor Music is a quarterly “Jam” session in the fellowship hall of the church. The house band, led by David Johnson and including Eric Ellis, Scott Gentry and Kevin Rash provides the core of the music on stage. There are anywhere from 10 to 15 pickers and singers who join the house band. Some guests sit on stage and play with the house band for the entire evening, while others move in and out. Everyone who desires may pick or sing with the group. Choir director Sandra Bell and pianist Lois Doss lead the congregational sing-along portion of the event. There is NO CHARGE for this event.

The Arbor Grove United Men’s Club sells hotdogs, chips, desserts and drinks to the hungry crowd.

Arbor Music is an extension ministry of the church. Pastor Suze Pillsbury-Taylor says, “Anything that you do for the community, you’re doing as a ministry. Some people only respond to music, and I can understand why. We have so much talent in our church and our community. David Johnson stated, “The whole idea is the fellowship of it — it’s an outreach for the church.
