Mission Statement: The ABC-123 program exists to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community by providing a place for education, fellowship and growth where we can connect with God, with each other, and the community.
Student Services: On Tuesday evenings from 5:00 until 6:30, students can get help with homework or projects. We help with study skills as students prepare for tests and assessments. We have certified teachers offering tutoring in reading, writing, and math. We target the North Carolina End of Grade tests. We have computers available for Study Island, other educational sites, and research. We also have a growing collection of books for students to read. Kindergarteners through 8th grade students are welcome and there is NO COST for this service. Students may be dropped off and picked up at 6:30, or parents are welcome to stay and be a part of our program.
When the work and tutoring are completed, we provide a meal and time for games and activities. Weather permitting; we have a large grassed area for playing with kick balls, soccer balls, chasing Frisbees, or just running around. Indoor activities include chess, checkers, and other board games.
Adult Services: Adults may come and work on a GED or Adult High School Diploma. We offer tutoring with math and English courses.
Non English speaking adults may come and work individually on the computer learning to speak English.
